About Me

It's hard to believe but I am entering my 14th year with MPASD.  For the past 13 years, I served as an assistant principal and principal at several buildings and different levels within the district. I have been blessed to have the full K-12 experience!

I grew up in Youngwood, PA and graduated from Hempfield Area High School.  After high school graduation, I attended Indiana University- Indianapolis (IUPUI) and earned my B.S. in Secondary Education.  I taught social studies at Avon Community School Corporation and Plainfield Community School Corporation in Indiana for six years.  Along the way I coached baseball, softball, and tennis.  I still find being called 'coach' the best title.

I received my M.S. in Educational Leadership and Supervision from Ball State University and Superintendent Letter of Eligibility from California University of PA.  I recently completed the Administration and Leadership Studies doctoral program at Indiana University of PA.

Outside of school, I enjoy being outdoors with my family hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking.  I am a baseball enthusiast and visited 12 MLB stadiums and countless minor league fields.  My wife Bethany and I have four children- Ty, Kate, Emma, and Charlotte.

I am enormously proud to be a Viking and serve the MP community.  Go Vikes!
